Taroko Gorge, Taiwan

My first post of the beautiful country of Taiwan. Honestly, it was absolutely superb. I wasn't expecting so much beauty & sheer jaw-dropping sites. Taroko Gorge is a national park situated on the east coast of the country, in the Taichung City, Nantou City & Hualien County (aka this thing is MASSIVE). We spent our first full day (Friday) at the park. We took an express train from Taipei (don't fret, more on that lataa) which took us about 3 hours. Once we got to Hualien we were a bit confused as to how we were going to make it to the park (silly us thought we could trek it over... its a 30 minute drive from the train station) when we met a nice man by the name of Te-Ming Li (teming_li@yahoo.com.tw or tiffany_935lk@yahoo.com.tw for reservations), who gave us an INCREDIBLE afternoon tour of the park. Enough talking though, just look at the pictures. You'll understand the amazing-ness when you take a looky look.
